  Ira Winder
Associate Professor
■ Academic background
1. 〔Master Course〕 City Planning, Department of Urban Studies and Planning, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Completed, Master in City Planning Link
2. Art and Design, Department of Architecture, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Graduated, Bachelor of Science in Art and Design Link
■ Research Overview
Ira designs coordination systems — the platforms, models, and interfaces through which people, projects, and ideas connect across disciplines and institutions. His work spans software engineering, data architecture, urban systems, and organizational design, with a through-line of making complex systems legible and actionable. A representative outcome is the tangible interactive matrix (TIM), an integrated hardware and software platform that merges parametric, voxelized simulations with user-friendly tangible interfaces, now a platform for interdisciplinary research including the CityScope Project at the MIT Media Lab.
